New Team Means New Look
For Heckler's Grove Web Site.
As you can see, the Heckler's Grove web site is changing along with the landscape of Cincinnati Hockey. The pages have a brand new look, a new logo, improved navigation, and internal features that make updates easy and quick.

On the outside, the new web site has incorporated the colors of the new AHL Cincinnati Railraiders - Blue, Black, Silver and White. Those colors as well as the Railraiders railroad theme have been incorporated into a new Logo for Heckler's Grove. The steam engine was conceived and rendered by Heckler's Grove member Joanna Minch. Joanna - a resident of Louisville, KY - attends Northern Kentucky University, Majoring in Biochemistry. While attending Ducks games at Cincinnati Gardens, she wore a hand-made duck head and cape. We're all wondering how she'll be adorned when the Railraiders take the ice in October 2006.
The typeface of the web site name is written in a font that was commonly used by the railroads in their early days. The words "The premier fan site of Cincinnati Hockey" is "engraved" into the steel, signifying that hockey is now here to stay in Cincinnati. |
The navigation is now handled by a drop-down menu system that should make getting around the site quick and easy. Simply choose a category and the menu will appear. Drag your mouse over your selection and click to your destination. For your convenience, there are hotlinks directly to the NHL and AHL web sites to make it easy to keep up with your favorite players.
